The Legal Services have been accused of dragging their feet when it comes to chasing down hotels owing millions to the Forestry Department in rental fees.
According to the Agriculture Ministry, three hotel groups – The Cyprus Tourist Development Company (Cyprus Hilton), Dome investments and Kyriacos Markides (Jubilee Hotel Ltd) – owe the Forestry Department a combined €6.5 million in delayed rentals for 2015. That is €354,990 more when compared to figures from 2014.
