Snow and rain as Elpis weather system affects Cyprus

The civil defence is on stand-by as a low-pressure system affects the island on Tuesday, while mountains roads and schools closed once more in some mountain villages.
The meteorological office issued a yellow warning lasting from 2am to 4pm, citing heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and a flood watch. Conditions are set to improve by Tuesday evening, but the island will remain affected until Wednesday night.
