New yellow weather warning for prolonged rain and isolated heavy thunderstorms

The Cyprus Department of Meteorology issued a new yellow weather warning on Wednesday afternoon. According to the weather warning: “A combination of at times prolonged rain and possibly isolated heavy thunderstorms is expected to affect the area, initially mainly the western and northern parts of the island.  From noon onwards inland areas and areas over the eastern/southeastern coast will be affected.
