A new women’s freediving world record was set in Limassol on Friday when Jennifer Wendland descended to a depth of 93 metres.
Holding only one breath and powered by a set of fins, the German was ecstatic after beating the two-year-old record.
Wendland, who started competing in 2015, was back at the scene of her first competitive appearance, saying afterwards that it was great to return to Cyprus.
